Efficient, CHEAP, hardy and containing Samsung’s awesome Super AMOLED displays, the Samsung smartphones, running Google’s Android, have been the success story of the decade.
They have taken on the iPhone and Apple and beaten the smug smirk right off those “geniuses”. (or Jobbies as I like to call em)
The Samsung S III is the latest Samsung smartphone. It comes on the back of the a long line of phenomenally successful phones, including its immediate predecessor, the rightly hailed Samsung Galaxy S I.
(I see they have decided to go the Catholic Pope method for naming their phones. When can we expect a Nebula G IX?)
Anyhoo, the long and short is that this new phone, it’s royal highness the III, was highly anticipated.
It really did not need a “smart” and “catchy” tagline to “define” it and give it a “brand”. It already had a brand, built on the back of solid engineering and performance.
So I speculate when the ad agency or perhaps Samsung’s internal marketing team was told -
“SELL THIS!”
They thought to themselves -
“Quick! First one to come up with some artsy, Zen-ish line (that we will never, ever reconsider or even look at again until it is plastered on billboards across the world) gets the three free drinks! Cheers!”
I presume it is with this mentality that they hit upon the winner that is below -
“Designed for humans, inspired by nature.”
My God! What an innovative idea! I would have never thought that’s who they were aiming for! Why didn’t any of the other mobile phone manufacturers ever think about tapping into the ignored human market?
Designed for HUMANS? Imagine that!
Soooooooo…let me break this down -
This is a phone that was designed for the ONLY SPECIES ON THIS PLANET WHO CAN USE IT and it was inspired by EVERYTHING.
Wow. Ermmm…not exactly promising the stars there are you mac?
Actually, I have some questions, which I feel might have occurred to a few others as well -
1) Who were the other phones designed for? I would like a species list.
1) Which meeting was it that someone went “Dude, we should REALLY make it clear that this is a phone for like, humans only. The lizards are really getting confused.”
2) Is Samsung going to release a “designed for dolphins, inspired by ocean” mobile phone anytime soon?
3) Has Samsung made first contact with the Inter-Galactic Federation of Races and is trying to break the news to us gently? Are we not alone?
4) How stoned/lazy/silly were the various people involved in coming up with this gem?
Well while we wait for those answers, it is good to know that the engineers of the phone decided to actually work for their pay check and the initial reviews about the phone are pretty good in fact.
It runs on Android 4.0 and has a giant 4.8-inch display. It runs on a quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos processor with 1GB of RAM and comes with an 8-megapixel camera.
While many have praised the camera, the processor and the screen, a common warning is that the big screen makes the phone bulky and large for one-hand use.
This is not much or a drawback but something to keep in mind when purchasing.
It costs around 35, 000 rupees to purchase in India.

Things People Had To Say
A few thoughts passed my mind when i read this.
Firstly it costs Rs 42,500. Link for reference. (https://www.samsungindiaestore.com/Products/ProductDetails?X00O000V1764UtGkkXXX10O14Z872395030agsft5f6dhdj557jkslf3627fhd3g3gh34dsrie378037hU7hu9pppTZAiZn2cJe9lwwg63K8XYbxBxJIIIIX987fs62h0yr9df4g380ty0tt32r45en674Oty00ui0).
Secondly, the tag line is fine perfect, if you can spend 42500 you are human, if not your life is not of any use, so please dont waste your time and others and call your self human. “Humans” are only the elite society, others are rats running the rat race..
heh, I had not thought about that but yes indeed sometimes it seems so…
