If you have not seen the video where Jackie Shroff tries to get out a tongue twisting line in standard Hindi and Chaste Marati for a government advertisement on Polio vaccination – then you need to be more dedicated to the internet.

And even if you have seen it, it is totally worth looking at it again. (PS: He swears. A lot. You have been forewarned.)

The video is hilarious. The court was in uproar for days over it and we made a dedicated effect to try and learn quite a few of those swear words.

This is actually stale news in most circles, however I only bring it up because of the fun part – there are actually commentators on YouTube, and beyond that in the real world, who have a problem with this.

Their world has been shattered. All their lives they had believed Jackie Shroff to be a pillar of the community. They spent all their time telling little children in the street to follow the noble life of Jackie Shroff. AND NOW THIS IS WHAT JACKIE SAYS! OH MY GOD!

Swearing in an ancient and noble art and it gladdens my heart to see that the art being performed by such an obvious master.

Such flair! Such diversity! So many relatives involved! So many things done those relatives! Spectacular!

Jackie’s own first reaction was the expected one – He dismissed the efforts of the news media to create something out of it. he called himself Bindas and told people to just relax.

that is exactly what we feel as well Jackie Sa’ab. (Although she may be looking at your mustache)

But people did not. They went on and on about how horrified they are. So now Jackie is planning on suing.

It is sad that he is forced to react for such nonsense.

People who get outraged on the internet are a fascinating breed who deserve some in-depth study.

They watch the entire video (a good seven minutes long). They can hear him swear from the first frame mind you. And then, with quivering hands and pulsing hearts, they go -

“OH MY GOD HE IS USING BAD WORDS! MUMMMYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!”

This is the title of the video – JACKIE SHROFF ABUSING – POLIO AD – UNCENSORED – BEHIND THE SCENES.

What the hell were you expecting? Can yous the reads the Angrezee? English you understandings? Yes? You readings the white people language?

Actually, if titles mean nothing to you why don’t you go on YouTube and search – horse rape. Go on. I am sure it will make your day.

Heck, if you are so easily offended WHY were you even watching this video? If your world is so pure HOW did you even find the video? How long were you watching it to form such a strong opinion about it?

Incidentally Jackie Shroff didn’t even know the video existed. It is from about a decade ago. Far from your moral soul, if there are any real victims, it is Jackie.

And even though I wish to declare my support for Jackie, because I loved the video, I am forced to ask one very pertinent question -

Who amongst you thought that Jackie Shroff was some sort of idol of morality and clean living? There are such people in the world?

Really? Jackie Shroff? That guy from the ’90s with the handle bar mustache?

Him? This guy? NOW you thought he disappointed you? Really?

Really, really? Honestly?

Well okay.

Anyway I say kudos to Jackie Shroff, you are certainly one bindas maama.

PS: News outlets need to find better news. And the more times you say the word ‘Shroff’, the weirder it sounds. try it – Shroff, Shroff, Shroff, Shroff, Shroff…
