So dull we grow, so low and gray.
Passing the moments of our day,
With endless talks and nothing to say.
A miracle, how we keep suicide at bay.

Through dullness all our ideas dim
Any pleasure is secret…and a sin.
‘Productivity’ has become our only kin
And we carefully hide all ‘silliness’ within

So busy we are, ‘liking’ other’s creations
So easy to suppress are our own aspirations
So fussy we are chasing gratifications,
While lustily calling for more compensation

Our time is short, a quirk of history.
And still we fear every mystery.
There is no doubt, we are absolutely nobody.
And still we shy away from becoming somebody.

Does working long hours hurt us that badly?
Hard work is virtue we were taught by daddy.
But if somebody stops us, let them do so gladly
For they seem to care more about our lives than us…sadly.

Basavanna, as he was popularly known, lived in the 12th Century in what is today the Indian state of Karnataka and was the founder of the reformist Lingayat sect.

Long before the world, and India, took any righteous and moral paths of equality, Basavanna preached these concepts to all he encountered.

Good bye Lenin! is a feel good movie – in it’s true form.

This is not one of those movies where someone suffers and we get to ‘feel good’ by laughing at their pain. It is not one where the girl dumps one guy and leaps into the arms of the other – thereby…Go on

“Modi magic fails in Karnataka”

After the Congress swept the May 103 Assemby elections in Karnataka, this was one of the first bits of information to float around.

This line was pushed out by the Congress (who were busy salaaming Rahul Gandhi, the media (to whom balanced reporting is…Go on

My friend,

We see that you are going to do something that you know is not going to end well.

Sink into it. Sink in, in a sublime surrender…like you would sink into that’s lover’s first kiss.

If you cannot taste the victory, cannot feel the…Go on
